The GPMGA Master Gardener Training Class is the first step toward becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer. After the completion of 50 classroom hours - starting January 21, 2025 and continuing through April 22, 2025 - the student becomes an intern. To graduate, the intern must then complete 50 volunteer hours of service for the community (a list of various projects within Goochland and Powhatan counties will be given to the student).

Classroom Attendance: Each week students are required to attend every Tuesday (in Goochland) and every Thursday (in Powhatan) from 9:30am - 12:30pm. Classes are generally held in the Goochland Extension Building (2748 Dogtown Rd) and at the Powhatan County Library.

Cost for the Master Gardener Program: $160.

To start the Application Process: Simply click on the "Apply Online" button below and/or use the QR code with your phone camera.
